Shannon Duffy
Founder
Shannon is a dedicated para‑equestrian and emergency management professional whose career bridges two worlds: high‑performance equestrian sport and disaster preparedness. A passionate horse lover and para-athlete, she has overcome personal challenges to adapt to the demands of what it takes to care for and compete with horses. She is rooted in her unwavering commitment to equines and their well-being, and knows full well that it takes a team and community to achieve high quality care.
Her parallel career in emergency management equips her with the expertise to coordinate complex responses to crises and lead proactive planning efforts that strengthen community preparedness. Shannon has witnessed firsthand how disasters—large and small—impact the equine industry. Her experience managing major sporthorse facilities in both South Florida and Northern Virginia gives her a deep understanding of the operational, safety, and continuity needs that are unique to equine environments.
This combination of professional insight and lived experience fuels her commitment to advocating for the equine industry within local, regional, and state emergency planning efforts. Through her A/O, Shannon aims to build a more resilient, informed, and connected community across both the equestrian and emergency response fields.
